ONE ROOM CHALLENGE WEEK 7

Here are the steps leading to the space that I didi for the ONE ROM CHALLENGE...this leads to the Bonus Room and Guest Bedroom

WE (those of us that were able to participate until the end and to those that had things come up and not able to participate...we miss you!!) are almost to the finish line!! It has been such a great experience. New friendships, new inspiration, and a lot of creativity!!!

I am really very excited to share with you the full Reveal this up coming week. The design that I chose to do had a lot of DIY projects, Art, and color. If you have been following along the last 7 weeks then you have seen a lot of Black and White. I wanted to have that contrast as a back drop to add lots of color.

Why was this project especially exciting?? Most of the people that I do interior design for are a little nervous about going outside the box. Thats not a bad thing, its just not very often that I get to push my creativity to the limit.

The last time that I was in that head space was when I created a very cool, very popular local restaurant. That is another blog post for a later date.

In the past this was a space that the kids would go and play video games. I have been so busy that it was kinda last on my list of rooms to do a full re-design. So doing this ORC forced me to allot time to do the space. I am so excited with the changes. I think Andy and I will hang out up there very often.

I always tell my clients that I want to design their homes in a way that it is a reflection of who they are and to create a space that is soothing and comfortable. I love when clients tell me that they just go and sit in the finished room and look around because they love the way it looks!!! That makes me so happy!!

Well this is a short blog post because I really can't share more of the progress because I want it to be a surprise reveal. Just know that things are coming along as planned and doing a photo shoot with my photographer Tassi!! Check her out on Instagram here
